About
Ciaran, a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 33 years experience designed and managed civil engineering projects in the water industry between 1978 and 1997. Between 1997 and 2009 he worked on H&S, Environmental, Engineering and Procurement strategy, policy and standards development and project management within the road construction industry. Ciaran joined University of Ulster in January 2010 as a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying.
Ciaran holds corporate membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers and is also a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He is on the Institution of Civil Engineer's Health, Safety and Welfare Register Steering Group, a Member of the NI Committee of ICE and Chair of the ICE NI Region's Expert H&S panel. Ciaran is also on ICE's Construction Health, Safety and Welfare Register (Advanced).
